Why Whole Hog Cafe

Whole Hog Cafe is the original “competition style barbecue” QSR restaurant. We have 15 locations throughout the U.S. and plans to double the number of restaurants within the next three years. We are looking for exceptional franchise candidates with the desire to own & operate their own business, a commitment to a high-level of customer service, and of course, a passion for great BBQ!

The Whole Hog Cafe prepares the same award-winning recipes that won top honors in the 2000, 2002, 2008, & 2013 Memphis-in-May World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest – including 1st Place in the “Whole Hog” category in 2002 and 1st Place in the Wings competition in 2013.

Competing as “The Southern Gentlemen’s Culinary Society” competition barbecue team and opening Whole Hog Cafe in 2000, Whole Hog founders Ron Blasingame, Mike “Sarge” Davis, and Steve Lucchi long devoted themselves to the pursuit of barbecue perfection. Their devotion is reflected in the wildly popular dishes served in the Whole Hog Cafe each day – succulent pulled pork, tender beef brisket & smoked chicken, and of course, Whole Hog’s award-winning ribs.

When a new Whole Hog Cafe is ready to open, our team of operations professionals will arrive at the restaurant and stay for 10-14 days to support the new franchisee throughout the pre-opening activities and the critical first week of operation.
